Marathon Man

The Naha Marathon was today and one of our family members was a proud finisher! I’ll give you a hint on who it was. I only run if a bear is chasing me and the girls don’t qualify yet based on age. I’ll give you three guesses…

Congratulations Otosan!

Was that a pig that just flew by?

After years of suffering from the affliction known as “Photographer’s Child Syndrome”, Mia just may be on the road to recovery. She actually requested a photo shoot today. She picked out her own outfit and then came and asked me if we could go outside and take her picture. After coming to and nursing the concussion I sustained from falling over in disbelief, I grabbed the camera and ran out the door! She directed the whole thing. Maybe it’s the beginning of a new era!

When we came inside, she told me that she wasn’t a good “cartographer” right now because she’s too little. But when she got really, REALLY old she’d be very good at taking pictures. Of course, I had to ask what age was REALLY OLD. She answerd, “26!” Just go ahead and start digging my grave now.

Orphan girl?

Who is that child’s mother and why can’t she wipe the breakfast off her face before they go to the park?

Family Fun

I am no stranger to these two girls– I think they see me two or three times a week sometimes!

This little one is my younger daughter’s best friend. She asks for her all the time and you should have heard her this week while I was editing this session! All I heard for days was, “Peek-A-Boo, Teekatem!” (I dare you to guess her real name based on that!)

Now this one makes it almost impossible to take a bad photo of her. Really, I’m not exaggerating. Everyone gets caught in a blink or an angle that is just unflattering, but not her– the camera loves her. Even in this picture, when she is mad at me and was telling me she didn’t want to do this anymore, she’s gorgeous.

And last, but not least, Mom & Dad. You should have heard the moaning and groaning I had to listen to to get this shot of them! You would have thought I was asking them to walk on hot coals or something. But I love how it turned out. So sweet. Don’t you think?
