Okinawa's family photographer - children maternity birth & newborn portraits
I needed to scope out a new location and little C volunteered to help out!

Actually, I suppose it was more like this: Her mom is a good friend of mine and their session is coming up soon. We met up for a playdate in the park so that the girls could play, we could get some mommy social time in and I could see if this was going to be a good location for their pictures. Multi-tasking! Well it looks like this place will work out beautifully!

I hadn’t really planned to do a “session” per se. So I didn’t put much thought or effort into Ellerie’s clothes or hair. But despite that little fact, aren’t they still adorable together?

Best friends. Awww!

I can’t tell you how many moms call me wanting photos of their toddler but are worried that their baby just isn’t going to cooperate. “We tried to do some studio pictures and he just wouldn’t sit still for a second. It was a disaster!” If I had a nickel for every time I heard that sentence! My solution is don’t make them sit still! I get my workout chasing the little ones around and the parents get some truly authentic pictures of the lightning streak as s/he flies by! Call me crazy, but sometimes I think that one year olds are my favorite age to photograph. I mean really, I could just eat him up!

Ever wonder where the photographer gets her pictures? Yeah, me too! I’ve been in desperate need of a profile picture for my web site, the blog, facebook, twitter, and generally all over cyberspace. I’d look through my photos for anything I could use and come up with nada. Here’s a secret for you… I hate having my picture taken! Go figure. Anyway, enter dear Stephanie to the rescue! You can thank her for finally being able to put a face with the name. And the bonus is that now you will know who to look for at your session!
