One of the perks of hanging out with 65 other photographers for the week is that there are plenty of opportunities to try out new equipment. There was a lot of lens swapping, and I got the chance to try out the 85mm f/1.4 that I had been considering off and on for months. I have to say, it was love at first sight. I came home and immediately went shopping! Of course the availability on Okinawa still has a lot to be desired. So, I ended up ordering it online and it finally arrived today.
Mia was kind enough to let me take her picture after much negotiation and bartering.

Mia: What kind of snack?
Me: How about some craisins?
Mia: How about some candy?
Me: Well, I didn’t bring any candy. I only brought craisins.
Mia: Ok, but you can only take one picture.
Me: How about 10 pictures?
Mia: How about 6?
I figured that was a better deal than I usually get, so I took the deal! Here are a couple from today:
Oh and where was Ellerie during all of this? Let’s just say she wasn’t in a picture-taking kind of mood…
